Black Liberated Arts Center, Inc (BLAC) receives Mid-America Arts Alliance Grant

Black Liberated Arts Center, Inc (BLAC) announces that it is among a select group of regional organizations to receive a Mid-America Arts Alliance American Rescue Plan Grant. This award will support exposure to our community in performing ru1s, education, music, dance, and theater in Oklahoma City. Our mission is to use the vehicle of fine atis to provide the total community of Oklahoma with exposure to the African, African American/Black culture with a special emphasis on educating Oklahoma’s youth.

Funding for BLAC, Inc’s Mid-America Arts Alliance grant is drawn from generous underwriting by the National Endowment for the Arts, Oklahoma (your state art agency), and foundations, corporations, and individuals throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Mid-America atis alliance, the nation’s oldest regional arts organization, was founded in 1972 to foster cultural growth in heartland communities. Mid-America Arts Alliance strengthens and supports artist, cultural organizations, and communities throughout our region and beyond. We are especially committed to enriching the cultural life of underserved communities by providing high quality meaningful, and accessible arts and culture programs and services.
